Truck Insurance

When Sues birthday rolled around last April she decided she didn't want to renew her drivers license. She says shes afraid to drive. I've heard some say it was hard to get a loved one to quit driving so I should be happy. I didn't know she was told to turn in her old expired license. I guess a letter was sent to us, I didn't see it. Sue may have got it and put it up for safe keeping. The insurance company has dropped me over this, this letter I saw. So the truck (pickup) is parked until I can get this straightened out. I guess it could be worse. I could have been in an accident or pulled over before I found out I'm uninsured.

Lesson learned. Watch the mail closer.

  1. I am so sorry.I hope they don't try to raise your insurance. Good luck and you are lucky Sue wanted to stop driving on her own. Mom never drove. So we did not have that problem either. Oh, tell Sue thanks for saying my kittie is pretty. I got her for christmas a few yrs. back from my son. He rescued her from the pound.

  2. Tomorrow Sues Brother will run her out to turn in her old license and get proof that she did. I need the proof to get insurance again. I don't know that it will but I won't be surprised if it ends up costing me more.

We both love dogs and cats. Right now we've got 2 dogs and a cat that a lot of us in the neighborhood share. You can tell that Lucky Cat is not starving.

  3. What a pain. My mom used to hide mail and I'd find it all over the place hidden away.

She would also imagine mail that didn't exist! One day she told me about a letter she received that day from her sister (long-deceased) who was writing to ask if her daughter could come over to Canada and live with us. My mom went on & on about this letter which I knew didn't exist unless dead people can write from beyond the grave. I kept trying to change the topic and my mom ranting about & looking for this letter to show it to me. She finally forgot about it after a day or so.

You should talk to your insurance company and explain the situation. They should be willing to give you some compassion!

  4. Thursday Sue turned in her old license and got the proof that she did that I need when I go see them at the insurance company.

When she turned in her license they told her how important it was that she get a state ID card. She got that taken care of. Now she is upset because she didn't get her hair done before the photo was taken.

  5. The insurance company wasn't understanding???

A statement from a doctor as to Sue's condition might help you to get reinstated at the old rate.

Hee hee. That made me laugh. I didn't realize I had to get a new photo for my drivers license and now I'm stuck with a photo that is just horrid because I didn't bother doing much with my hair/makeup that day.

Good to hear Sue is still concerned about grooming & looks. That is a good sign.

  7. Good news. I have insurance on the truck again. It is with the same company as before but I talked with a lady in a different office. My insurance is $48.00 dollars less a year than before. In six months if there are no accidents or tickets reported my rates will go down again. I had to take some time off work to go get this done but now I'm thinking it paid off in the long run.
